Car Crashes Into Gas Meter
On this run, we had a car that ran into a gas meter on the side of a house. Just above the gas meter was an electric panel, and it ignited. So we had this high pressure gas that was burning up into the area of the electric panel, so we didn’t know if that car was electrified.
We got a woman out of the car, and we had to let the gas burn until we could get to the pipe. We put the fire out, and then we drove a big redwood plug into the gas line and taped it off. That’s how we took care of that situation.
